Panch Pokhari is named after 5 holy ponds of great religion importance. The beautiful Himalayan view and pristine nature with distinct culture is the attraction of the trek. Located at an altitude of 4,100m, Panch Pokhari offers an excellent view of Jugal Himal and Rolwaling ranges. The trek starts from Chautara.

Itinerary

Depart from Kathmandu and drive to Chautara, the starting point of your trek. The drive takes you through scenic landscapes and traditional villages. After reaching Chautara, you'll settle into your accommodation and prepare for the trek ahead.

Begin your trek from Chautara and make your way towards Sani Okhareni. The trail ascends through forests and offers panoramic views of the surrounding hills. After trekking for approximately 5-6 hours, you'll reach Sani Okhareni and spend the night there.

Continue your trek from Sani Okhareni to Kami Kharka. The trail takes you through lush forests and offers glimpses of the local flora and fauna. As you ascend, you'll enjoy stunning views of the Himalayan range. After trekking for about 5-6 hours, you'll arrive at Kami Kharka and settle into your accommodation.

Leave Kami Kharka and trek towards Pauwabas. The trail passes through picturesque landscapes, with views of rolling hills and terraced fields. After trekking for approximately 5-6 hours, you'll reach Pauwabas and spend the night there.

Continue your trek from Pauwabas towards Hille Bhanjyang. The trail meanders through forests and offers beautiful views of the surrounding valleys. After trekking for about 5-6 hours, you'll arrive at Hille Bhanjyang and settle into your accommodation for the night.

Leave Hille Bhanjyang and continue your trek to Narism Pati. The trail ascends through rhododendron forests, with vibrant blooms during the spring season. As you gain elevation, you'll be rewarded with panoramic views of the mountains. After trekking for approximately 5-6 hours, you'll reach Narism Pati and spend the night there.

Resume your trek and make your way towards Panch Pokhari, a sacred lake system in the region. The trail takes you through alpine landscapes, dotted with pristine lakes and surrounded by snow-capped peaks. After trekking for about 6-7 hours, you'll reach Panch Pokhari and set up camp for the night.

Leave Panch Pokhari and trek towards Tupi Danda. The trail offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas and takes you through high-altitude meadows. After trekking for approximately 5-6 hours, you'll arrive at Tupi Danda and spend the night there.

Continue your trek from Tupi Danda towards Dhap. The trail descends through forests and traditional villages, allowing you to experience the local culture and way of life. After trekking for about 5-6 hours, you'll reach Dhap and settle into your accommodation for the night.

Day 10 :
Rest Day

Take a well-deserved rest day in Dhap to relax and rejuvenate. You can explore the village, interact with locals, or simply enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Resume your trek and make your way towards Melamchi. The trail offers scenic views of the valleys and terraced fields. After trekking for approximately 5-6 hours, you'll arrive at Melanchi and spend the night there.

On the final day of your itinerary, you'll drive from Melanchi back to Kathmandu, completing your trekking journey. The drive takes approximately 4-5 hours, and you'll return to Kathmandu with unforgettable memories of your trek in the Panch Pokhari region.
