culture in the surrounding valley. Our stops on this journey have been chosen for their pristine vistas and epic beauty – this is a great opportunity to witness first-hand the majesty of the world’s tallest peaks without leaving the comforts of home too far behind.

Upon arriving in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by the vibrant energy and rich cultural heritage of Nepal's capital city. You can explore the bustling streets, visit ancient temples and monuments, and immerse yourself in the local culture. Take this day to settle into your accommodation, rest, and prepare for your upcoming trek to the Everest Base Camp.

On the second day, you will embark on a sightseeing tour of Kathmandu, which is renowned for its UNESCO World Heritage Sites. You can visit the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, explore the ancient royal palace complex of Kathmandu Durbar Square, and experience the spiritual atmosphere at the Buddhist stupa of Boudhanath. Additionally, you will have time to make any final preparations for your trek, including purchasing or renting any necessary gear.

After a scenic mountain flight from Kathmandu, you will arrive in Lukla, the gateway to the Everest region. From Lukla, you will start your trek by descending towards the Dudh Koshi River. The trail passes through picturesque Sherpa villages, lush forests, and suspension bridges. Finally, you will reach Phakding, a small village situated at an elevation of 2652m (8700ft), where you will spend the night.

Leaving Phakding, you will continue your ascent along the banks of the Dudh Koshi River. The trail takes you through forests of pine and rhododendron, offering glimpses of snow-capped peaks in the distance. After crossing several suspension bridges, you will reach Namche Bazaar, the commercial hub of the Everest region. Namche Bazaar is a lively town with shops, lodges, and breathtaking views of mountains like Thamserku and Kongde Ri.

To acclimatize to the high altitude and ensure a safe journey, you will spend an extra day in Namche Bazaar. During this rest day, you can explore the surrounding areas, visit the Sherpa Museum, and hike up to the Everest View Hotel for stunning panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and other peaks.

Continuing your trek, you will leave Namche Bazaar and follow the trail that winds through dense forests of rhododendron and juniper trees. Along the way, you may encounter wildlife such as musk deer and Himalayan thar. The trail then descends to the Dudh Koshi River before ascending through charming villages and monasteries. Finally, you will reach Deboche, a peaceful village nestled in the heart of the Khumbu region.

As you set off from Deboche, the trail offers stunning views of Ama Dablam, one of the most beautiful mountains in the region. Passing through rhododendron forests, you will arrive at the village of Pangboche, known for its ancient monastery. Continuing uphill, you will reach Dengboche, a picturesque village surrounded by towering peaks.

The trail from Dengboche gradually ascends through alpine landscapes, leaving treeline behind. You will pass through the summer settlement of Dughla and climb up to a ridge offering breathtaking views of Nuptse, Cholatse, and other mountains. Duglha, located in the shadow of the mighty Khumbu Glacier, is your destination for the day.

From Duglha, you will continue your ascent towards Lobuche. The trail follows a lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier, offering glimpses of the Khumbu Icefall in the distance. As you reach Lobuche, you will be surrounded by towering peaks, and the air will become thinner, reminding you of the high altitude.

This is a significant day as you make your way to the iconic Everest Base Camp. The trail from Lobuche leads you through rocky terrain and glacial moraines. As you approach Gorak Shep, the last settlement before Everest Base Camp, you will catch your first glimpse of the magnificent Khumbu Icefall. After a short break, you will continue towards the base camp, where mountaineers gather during climbing expeditions. Standing at the base of the world's tallest peak is an awe-inspiring experience. After spending some time soaking in the atmosphere, you will return to Gorak Shep for an overnight stay.

Early in the morning, you will ascend to Kala Pattar, a renowned viewpoint that offers spectacular panoramic views of Mount Everest, Nuptse, and Lhotse. Watching the sunrise paint the Himalayan giants in golden hues is a memorable sight. After enjoying the breathtaking scenery, you will descend to Gorak Shep and continue your trek to Pheriche, a village situated at a lower altitude.

From Pheriche, you will retrace your steps, descending through beautiful forests and passing through villages like Pangboche and Tengboche. Along the way, you can visit the famous Tengboche Monastery, the spiritual center of the Khumbu region. As you reach Namche Bazaar, you will celebrate the completion of your trek with a sense of accomplishment.

On this final day of trekking, you will descend from Namche Bazaar to Lukla, following the Dudh Koshi River once again. The trail offers a mix of steep descents and gentle slopes, passing through rhododendron forests and charming Sherpa villages. As you arrive in Lukla, you can reflect on your incredible journey through the Everest region.

In the morning, you will board a short flight from Lukla back to Kathmandu, enjoying the last aerial views of the magnificent Himalayan peaks. Upon reaching Kathmandu, you can relax, rest, and reminisce about your adventure. You might also take this opportunity to explore more of the city or indulge in some souvenir shopping.
